Visualization NowThe Headwave solution has unique and powerful visualization capabilities, specifically for  multi-dimensional analysis and interpretation.
AcceleratedThe Headwave software is designed to exploit hardware to its fullest. What that means is that, although CPUs are fast and have 2,4 or 8 cores, what is really fast is not the CPU - but in fact the graphics card used in today's G&G workstations. Recent graphics cards are powerhouses for compute purposes, and on average computations done on the GPU (graphics processor unit) are anywhere from 10 to 200 times faster than optimized CPU implementations. Multi-Dimensional Data FormatDatasets of any size should be readily available to the end user. The architecture should natively handle multi-dimensional data - meaning not only poststack (3D), but also prestack, frequency, impedance and other derived data. This required us to rethink how data is stored (see data format & management below), but also how data can be compressed and decompressed instantly on demand.
